David has been working in the tech industry for 24 years, with the last 12 of those focused on cyber security. He has worked on open source security, vulnerability research and exploit development, penetration testing, DevSecOps, and cyber security education. In his current role he leads the cyber security team for x15 ventures, a portfolio of financial technology companies owned by Commonwealth Bank.

In a previous life he has been an aviation meteorologist and worked on satellite remote sensing.
